FAQs

how do i take the right photo for a house portrait and where do I send it?

standing in the spot with the view of your house painted, on a day with good light is best. make sure your house is in focus! any detail shots that you would like to take would be helpful, too! After you place your order, email the photos and your choice of text on the bottom to bmiller@bernadettemillerart.com

how long will it take to get my painting?

an original watercolor home portrait can take up to 4 weeks to be shipped.

what can and cannot I do with the scanned image of my home portrait?

you can add it to cards, stationary, announcement that you are printing for personal use. you may not use it for items that will be sold.

how do i frame my painting?

watercolors are best preserved behind glass. your painting will come ready to mount on board or frame. sizes are standard so you will have an easy time finding the right style of frame. depending on your matting choices, the frames could be 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20.

i purchase frames from blick art supplies and ikea, but may favorite is finding vintage frames on etsy or an antique shop!

what if i am not happy with my painting

it is my hope that you are thrilled with your painting. you will receive a proof of your painting before shipping.

however, because of the nature of the work all sales are final.
